As part of our commitment to supporting the education and training of NEBAALAS members, we provide funding for multiple annual scholarships. These scholarships help recipients with expenses related to AALAS programs, exam fees, and study materials.

Dr. William S. Webster NEBAALAS Educational Scholarship Award
NEBAALAS provides funding for at least two scholarships each year. Recipients will receive up to $1,000 to assist with travel, lodging, registration, food ($40 per diem allotment), and/or exam fees. All monies awarded will be utilized to attend meetings, seminars, workshops, training programs, etc., as deemed appropriate by the Scholarship Committee. There is no deadline to apply for these scholarships, and more than two scholarships may be awarded each year, provided the total of all scholarships doesn't exceed $2,000 annually.
NEBAALAS National AALAS Scholarship Award
NEBAALAS provides funding for one scholarship each year. Recipients will receive up to $2,000 to assist with their travel, lodging, registration, workshops and food ($40 per diem allotment). All monies awarded will be utilized to attend the AALAS National Meeting. The deadline for this scholarship is March 31 for consideration among multiple applications. If there are no applications by March 31, the selection will be based on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants.
NEBAALAS Certification Scholarship Award
The NEBAALAS AALAS Certification Scholarship is available to those who need assistance to help pay for study materials and exam fees for the ALAT, LAT, LATG or other relevant certification examinations. Applicant must submit an estimate of the cost of materials/fees required, which is listed in the application form. There is no specific deadline for the scholarship; however, half of the available funds are awarded in the first half of the year, and the remainder in the second half. This is to ensure that those who may be taking exams or beginning to study later in the year have the opportunity to apply for these funds as well.
